Girona City
Girona is the capital of the region “El Gironès”. It’s a very young city because of the universities and the different studies you can do there. That causes young people to move to this city and make a nice environment.
The official language is catalan, but people use a lot of spanish.
There is “el barri vell” which means the old neighborhood, you can enjoy the open door museum and the modernist architecture of this part of the city.
In the same place you can find restaurants with different culinary specializations, you can find Italian, Spanish, Catalan, Mexican, Japanese gastronomy among a lot of other ones. Some of them are very cheap and fast food, and the other ones can be more expensive but the experience is unique and satisfying.
In this neighborhood we can find the university, and it has very good views of the whole city and the famous cloisters. You can also take a walk on the wall. Most local people recommend tourists go there because it’s a special experience you can’t find in other places.
It’s important to remember visit the cathedral and count how many stairs there are.
After the visit in the center, we can go to the hotel Bella Vista, where you can overlook Girona and at the same time take a drink with family or friends. The best hour to go is at 6:30 p.m.
