Play paddle tennis

You can find different locations to practice this sport. In the city of Girona, there are several places, including:

  • Padel Girona Uala (https://padelgirona.com). They have different indoor and outdoor courts. Prior reservation is required. The price is €6 and €8 with racket rental.
  • Break Padel Girona (https://www.breakpadelgirona.cat). They have some indoor courts. Prior reservation is required.

La Fageda

La Fageda is a social project founded with the main objective of improving the quality of life and promoting social integration for people at risk of social exclusion in the Garrotxa region. Its business activities include gardening services, livestock farming, dairy production, ice cream and preserves, as well as visitor services. The products of La Fageda have gained a great reputation in the market, providing employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness in the Garrotxa area.


La Fageda offers tours of its facilities, where visitors can learn about the project, the farm, and the process of making its products, with the opportunity to taste them at the end of the visit. The tour includes an explanation of the project, a visit to the farm to see the animals and the milking process, and a visit to the factory and workshop to understand how the products are produced.

On the other hand, the Costa Brava offers a rich and varied range of sports activities, adventure, excursions, or guided tours, in the summer season. Some of them are:

Torre Valentina Coastal Path promenade of Sant Antoni de Calonge

Sant Antoni Beach consists of 1.5 kilometers of fine sand and shallow waters. It can be easily reached by car, bus, or on foot through the surrounding promenade. It offers many services, such as restaurants, parking areas, showers, or lounge chair rentals. Following the seafront promenade, you arrive at Torre Valentina where you can continue along the coastal path until you reach Platja d’Aro. The journey is easy, with some very well-conditioned sections and protected with railings and stairs. You can explore different coves with beautiful views, such as Cala Roques Planes.

Kayaking

(https://www.paddlesurflafosca.es/pag/actividades-tarifas/). There are many locations on the Costa Brava where you can practice kayaking, but one of the best places is Cala la Fosca in Palamós. If you depart from there with the kayak, you can access other coves that cannot be reached on foot. The La Fosca Paddle Surf Club offers various activities:

  • Kayak rental. (€10 per hour per person)
  • Excursions. (€30 per person).
  • Classes with a professional instructor.

Snorkeling

Most coves and beaches on the Costa Brava are perfect for snorkeling. An idyllic cove is Sa Tuna in Begur. It is one of the most picturesque beaches on the Costa Brava and a very good option if you want a practical place with a lively atmosphere. Sa Tuna doesn’t have sand; on the contrary, it is rocky and has crystal-clear waters.
